Our Performance
Citizens expect their government to be accountable for its performance, to provide value for money in the provision of services, and to be responsive to community needs. In March 2017, the City of St. John’s adopted an accountability framework designed to support its efforts to be an effective city and achieve strong organizational performance in the delivery of public services.
The accountability framework is comprised of three key components:
1. Strategic Planning
- Setting of strategies and action plans
2. Performance Management
- Tracking of key performance indicators
- External evaluation of service delivery performance through citizen satisfaction surveys
- Continuous improvement of processes
3. Reporting
- Communication of performance results to the public
