Ian Froude
I am proud to represent the people of Ward 4 on St. John's City Council. I live in Ward 4 with my wife Stephanie, son Simon, and two dogs: Riley and Desmond.
I am the Founder and Executive Director of the St. John’s Tool Library, and I run a small business, the Bite-sized Farm. I am a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Civil Engineering Program. In addition to being an entrepreneur I have experience serving my community as a board member of the O’Brien Farm Foundation, and served on the Board of Engineers Without Borders Canada.
In previous roles, I have served as Executive Assistant to Newfoundland and Labrador’s Minister of Natural Resources; as well as the ‘Manager, Advocacy and Campaigns’ for the national charity, Engineers Without Borders Canada.
Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to discussing how we can improve St. John's for all of us.
I am Council lead for Public Works and Sustainability; Chair of the St. John's Transportation Commission; and a Council representative on the Environment and Sustainability Experts Panel.
