Submit Applications by Email

As announced March 19, 2020, City Hall and all facilities operated by the City of St. John’s are closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Providing core services to residents and businesses continues.

At this time the best way to submit applications, permits and nominations to the City of St. John’s is by email. As City staff are practicing social distancing, most are working from home with access to email.

As most City staff aren’t working at the office, there will be a delay in staff receiving and responding to mailed or faxed items.

All forms for applications and permits are located at stjohns.ca/forms-permits. Once completed, find the email address to submit at the bottom of each form.

If as part of your business with the City you must speak with staff member, contact Access St. John’s to:

  • Book a phone appointment with a City staff; email access@stjohns.ca or call 311 or 754-CITY (2489).
  • Make a payment using a credit card or debit-credit card by calling 311 or 754-CITY (2489). Do not include credit card information on application forms or in an email.
