Volunteer Dog Walking

The Shelter also utilizes volunteer dog walkers during public hours.
Walkers must be 18 years of age or older or accompanied by an adult. Proper footwear is required – no sandals. Applications are available at the shelter.

 

Humane Services also offers exciting courses for youth such as:

Pet Pests and Emergency Care
Ages: 12 Yrs. to 16 Yrs.
Description: This program will have you interacting with live animals, seeing those parasites through a microscopic view, learning about animal care and becoming certified in Emergency Canine First Aid.

Learn To Animal Care
Ages: 12 Yrs. to 16 Yrs.
Description: Bring your hugging arms as you interact and play with some of the loveable cats and dogs at the shelter.  Tour the shelter and hospital and learn about animal rescue, pet care, careers with animals and bite prevention.
