Getting Help Finding a Job

There are many community and government programs that can help you find a job and explore career options. Employment and Social Development Canada offers a number of services and online tools to help you search job listings, create a résumé, choose a career, and assess your skills. The provincial Department of Immigration, Population Growth, and Skills provides a number of services relevant to finding a job and choosing a career, including labour market information, and a walk-in Employment Centre located at 285 Duckworth Street in downtown St. John's.

AXIS Career Services
AXIS Career Services provides a suite of employment assistance programs to newcomers who have recently immigrated to Newfoundland and Labrador. AXIS Career Services is a division of the Association for New Canadians, the only immigrant settlement agency in Newfoundland and Labrador.
