The City of St. John’s is accepting applications for the Housing Catalyst Fund. The fund allows the City to facilitate practical and collaborative projects that produce tangible housing solutions for residents. The City’s role through this fund is to work collaboratively with community groups and stakeholders to create affordable housing solutions.

Grants are available for up to $10,000 per project. To qualify, projects must be solution focused, action oriented and realistic. They must also be in line with the City’s Affordable Housing Business Plan. Projects that have a significant impact on creating, maintaining, and/or supporting local affordable housing and/or that do not currently qualify for other funding options, will be prioritized. Prior recipients can apply for the Housing Catalyst Fund again if it is for a different project.

The application deadline is October 20, 2017. For more information and to access the application form, visit the City's website.

In 2016, grant recipients included Co-operative Housing Association Newfoundland & Labrador, Canadian Homebuilders Association NL, Stells's Circle and Cochrane Community Outreach and Performance Centre Inc.
