Bulk and Metal Collection Reinstated

Beginning in October the curbside collection of bulk garbage and recyclable metal waste will again be offered to residents of St. John’s. Changes to the program have been made to ensure it is a more effective and economically viable way to offer the service.

This free, by appointment only, pick-up service is offered by waste collection area over a five-week period:
Area 1, Oct. 2-6
Area 2, Oct. 10-14
Area 3, Oct. 16-20
Area 4, Oct. 23-27
Area 5, Oct. 30-Nov. 3

Appointment space is limited, scheduled on a first-come first-served basis, and must be pre-booked in one of the following ways:

• the app St. John’s Waste and Recycling
• online at curbitstjohns.ca >When is My Collection Day >Bulk and Metal Waste Collection
• call Access St. John’s at 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489). 

Prior to confirming your appointment, be sure what you have will be accepted: size, weight and content requirements are given during the booking process. When making the appointment we require a valid email address, so you will receive an appointment confirmation and reminder.

Please mark you confirmed appointment date in your calendar and ensure your waste items are at the curb and ready for pick up on the assigned date; missed appointments result in unnecessary expenses for the City. Thank-you for your cooperation.
