Canada Day and Memorial Day City Holiday Schedule

Due to the Canada Day and Memorial Day holiday on Tuesday, July 1 all City offices and facilities will be closed. This includes:

• City Hall
• Access St. John’s front counter
• Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility
• Recreation facilities
• Animal Care and Adoption Centre
• Most City services are affected by the Canada Day and Memorial Day holiday:
• There will be no waste collection on Tuesday, July 1. Garbage collection for areas 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, and recycling collection in areas 2B and 3B will take place on Wednesday, July 2. Collection time may be later than usual.
• Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Tuesday, July 1.

Exceptions to the Canada Day and Memorial Day closures are:

• The Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is now open for the season, 7 days a week. The Visitor Information Desk at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation, 10 Maple View Road, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1.
• The Access St. John’s Call Centre is available to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
