Celebrate Multiculturalism Week

The City of St. John’s, the St. John’s Local Immigration Partnership, along with several community partners, are pleased to offer two public events to celebrate Multiculturalism Week, March 18 to 24.
 
Thursday, March 22, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., The Great Hall, City Hall

  • Reception and launch of Tales from Afar; Heritage Foundation of NL
  • Demonstration of Neighbours Project; Music, Media and Place, Memorial University
  • Multicultural photo exhibit, The Association for New Canadians and La Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador 

Saturday, March 24, 2 to 4 p.m., Bowring Park, meet at the pool house

  • Free snowshoe rentals
  • Outdoor games
  • Orienteering, geocaching
  • Free hot chocolate 

Everyone is invited to join us as we celebrate the diversity in our community that contributes to the cultural fabric of our city and province.
