Celebrate St. John's Days June 23-25

Residents are invited to celebrate St.John’s Days from Friday, June 23 to Sunday, June 25 with free events taking place for all ages.

The celebrations begin Friday with the ceremonial firing of the Signal Hill noon day gun, and continue throughout the weekend.

St. John’s Days highlights include a Music @ Atlantic Place concert from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday Metrobus St. John’s Trolley resumes service for the season with free rides and stops throughout the downtown area. Beginning at 10 a.m. join Susan Brewer for a photography workshop in Bannerman Park. Also in the park, from 2 to 4 p.m. we are hosting a Family Fun Day featuring performances by Wonderbolt Circus, a decorated bicycle rodeo and much more. 

There are two inaugural St. John’s Days events on Sunday. At 9:30 a.m. the East Coast Trial Association will lead a group hike from MUN Ocean Science Centre in Logy Bay to Quidi Vidi. From 2 to 3:30 p.m. ‘Discover the Tastes of Newfoundland’ with Andrea Maunder owner and chef of Bacalao at City Hall. Register online.
