City to Unveil Monument in Bannerman Park

The public are invited to join City officials and representatives from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and the federal and provincial government on Saturday, June 30 at noon for the unveiling of ‘The Homecoming’, a monument in Bannerman Park at the corner near Military Road.
In honour of the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War I, taking place in November 2018, the City accepted a proposal from a local philanthropist to erect a monument by Sculptor Morgan MacDonald in Bannerman Park.
Please join us for the official unveiling of this monument as we pay tribute to the sacrifices made by members of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and their families.
