Give the Gift of Play

This holiday season consider giving the gift of play to a child in need.
 
The REAL Program provides recreation and leisure opportunities to children and youth in financial need by matching them with an organized recreational activity of their choice.
 
It costs approximately $100 to provide a program or class space for one young person. Last year during the holidays the Gift of Play donation drive allowed 22 young people the opportunity to participate in a program.
 
Thank you to all the generous donors – you’ve made a difference in the life of a local child.
 
It’s easy to donate: online, by telephone or in person. Holiday-themed cards and e-cards are available for any donation amount. Donations of $20 or above will receive a tax receipt upon request.
 
The REAL program is administered by the City of St. John’s; however, the program spaces utilized by REAL participants, including equipment and transportation, are fully dependent on financial or in-kind donations.
