Give the Gift of Play

This holiday season consider giving the gift of play to a child in need.

The REAL Program provides recreation and leisure opportunities to children and youth in financial need by matching them with an organized recreational activity of their choice. It costs approximately $100 to provide a program or class space for one young person.

Thank you to all the generous donors – you’ve made a difference in the life of a local child.

It’s easy to donate: online, by telephone or in-person. Donations of $20 or above will receive a tax receipt upon request. Holiday-themed cards are available for purchase, 5 for $20, by calling or in-person.

The REAL program is administered by the City of St. John’s, however, program spaces utilized by REAL participants are fully dependent on financial or in-kind donations.
