Construction for Leary’s Brook Bridge upgrades on O’Leary Avenue will begin mid to late May, with work expected to be complete by the end of September. Residents and business owners are invited to attend an information session about the project from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 4 at Leary's Brook Junior High, 15 Larkhall Street.

The project requires replacement of the existing bridge structure, additional flood-proofing measures, and minor vertical realignment of O’Leary Avenue. Project consultant CBCL Limited will be completing the work on behalf of the City.

Both vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be permitted, however delays can be expected.  There will be some noise and disruption as this work proceeds. Efforts will be made to maintain access to properties located within the work site and to minimize traffic delays as much as possible.

If you have additional questions, the Access St. John’s Call Centre is available to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489) or online at www.stjohns.ca/access-311.
