Information Session: Linegar Avenue Street Rehabilitation

Residents and business owners in Shea Heights are invited to attend a drop-in information session regarding an upcoming street rehabilitation project at Linegar Avenue. There will be significant infrastructure improvements to the area with construction beginning late July 2017. Work will be completed over two construction seasons 2017-18.

City staff and the project consultant will host the information session at the Shea Heights Community Centre on Wednesday, July 12 from 7 to 9 p.m.

This work is required in order to upgrade the storm sewer and add sidewalks that will provide for safer walking to the Community Centre, Harry Yetman Playground, St. John Bosco School and Parish Hall, Health Centre and Valley Convenience Plus. City Policy will require assessments to be completed as a result of the work.

Construction hours will be Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motor vehicle and pedestrian access will be impacted in the construction zone with flagpersons in place.
