St. John’s residents and business owners are invited to attend a drop-in style information session regarding an upcoming water main replacement project. The 100 year old water main on Signal Hill Road between Quidi Vidi Road and Cabot Avenue caused major damage to property in 2016 and is required to be replaced immediately.

City staff and the project consultant will host the information session at City Hall in the Foran/Greene Room on Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m.

Work on the project will begin during April as soon as weather conditions co-operate, and will be substantially completed by mid-July.

Residential traffic, tour buses and delivery trucks will be permitted controlled access through the work site. All other traffic will follow a detour via Battery Road and Cabot Avenue, signage and flag persons will be in place as needed. See detour map for details and expect delays. For further information see FAQ document.

The Access St. John’s Call Centre is available to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489) or online at www.stjohns.ca/access-311.
