Kenmount Terrace Forest Fire Under Control

The forest fire in the area of Kenmount Terrace in the City of St. John’s is under control. Due to excessive amounts of smoke, residents are advised to turn off their air exchange and HVAC systems and close all windows.

St. John’s Regional Fire Department also ask that any residents near the fire area water down any mulch on their property.

Motorists are asked to please avoid Kenmount Terrace and Kenmount Park area. Traffic is currently being diverted away from Orlando Place and Great Eastern Avenue.

Some streets have been evacuated and the Red Cross is on the scene proving support to those impacted.
