Labour Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 2 all City offices and facilities will be closed, including Robin Hood Bay Regional Waste Management Facility. Please note the following exceptions on Monday:

• There is no waste collection on Labour Day. Garbage and recycling collection in all areas occurs the day after regular pick up day – see chart below for details.
• Visitor Information Services at the Welcome Centre, 348 Water Street is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Bannerman Park, Bowring Park and Kenmount Terrace Community Centre splash pads will be open from 9 a.m. to dusk. Note that Monday, September 2 is the final day of operation for the splash pads.
• Parking meter regulations will not be enforced, as Monday is a Shops Closing Holiday.
• The City of St. John’s Council meeting, regularly scheduled on Monday, will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 3. 

Residents are reminded that the Paul Reynolds Community Centre Swimming Pool will be closed for maintenance starting September 1.
