Mayor Pleased with Air Canada Overseas Flight

On Monday, June 2 Air Canada announced plans to extend its seasonal non-stop flight from St. John's to London, England starting in late October.
 
“I was very pleased to hear that Air Canada will continue this service year-round,” said Mayor Dennis O’Keefe, who returned from Federation of Canadian Municipalities meetings in Ontario today. “This is a vital link between St. John’s and Europe that has a direct impact on both business and tourism for the City.
 
“I believe the return of this service points to the strength of our local economy and the opens doors of opportunity for world trade,” the Mayor stated.
