Parking Meters Rented for Local Film Production

City Council has approved a request from the producers of a local film called Rex, to rent 56 parking meters in the downtown from Wednesday, October 10 to Friday, October 12. Meters will be bagged after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, parking is permitted at the bagged meter spaces until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The areas where meters will be bagged are:

• on both sides of Water Street from Ayre's Cove to Clift's-Baird’s Cove, October 10 to 11
• on Clift’s-Baird’s Cove, October 10 to 12
• on Duckworth Street from Church Hill to McBride's Hill, October 10 to 12 

Alternate parking spaces are available at two parking garages downtown at 351 Water Street and at 330 Duckworth Street (Metro Park).
