Snow Clearing on Standby

Due to deteriorating conditions and reduced visibility snow clearing operations are temporarily suspended. Snowplow operators are on standby at various locations throughout the city including hospitals, fire departments and the Battery. This will allow snow clearing equipment to assist first responders during emergency situations. Equipment will remain on standby until visibility improves and it is safe to resume snow clearing.
 
Residents are reminded that the state of emergency that was declared at 11 a.m. today remains in effect until lifted. All vehicles except emergency vehicles are prohibited from using City streets.
