Thanksgiving Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Monday, Oct. 14 all City offices and facilities will be closed. The City Council meeting regularly scheduled for Monday will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 4:30 p.m.

Please note the following:

• Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Monday.
• Access St. John’s front counter service will be closed, however the Access St. John’s call centre is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489) or online.
• Visitor information services at the Welcome Centre, 348 Water Street, is closed on Monday, regular hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Paul Reynolds Community Centre and Southlands Community Centre are advanced polling station locations for the Federal Election from Friday, Oct. 11 to Monday, Oct. 14. 

There is no waste collection on Monday, Oct. 14. For this week, garbage and recycling collection will occur the day after regular pick up day in all areas - including a pickup on Saturday, Oct. 19 for Area 5. Waste collection returns to the normal fixed schedule beginning Monday, Oct. 21. Sign up for reminders.
