Use the Free Park and Ride to Visit Pumpkinfest

Thursday, October 17, 2013 - 3:30 PM

Families that plan to take in Pumpkinfest at Lester’s Farm Market this weekend should make the free park and ride service offered by Metrobus part of their plans, due to temporary ‘No Parking – Tow Away’ zones in effect surrounding Lester’s Farm Market at 173 Brookfield Road.

The park and ride service is offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the Nalcor building parking lot at 500 Columbus Drive, accessible from Captain Whelan Drive. Overflow parking is available at the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing building next door to Nalcor.

Park and ride is offered on a continuous, load and go basis from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During Pumpkinfest, parking at Lester’s Farm Market is designated for Impaired Mobility parking and there are temporary ‘No Parking – Tow Away’ zones in effect on both sides of Brookfield Road, Pearltown Road and Conpro Place.

These temporary parking restrictions are necessary to ensure pedestrians are not on Brookfield Road, which at times can have heavy traffic. Vehicles parked in the ‘No Parking – Tow Away’ zones or parked such that they are blocking traffic or driveways will be ticketed and/or towed.

Pumpkinfest is a weather dependent event and it will be posted at www.lestersfarmmarket.com if the event is proceeding this weekend.
