Victoria Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the Victoria Day holiday on Monday, May 19 all City offices and most facilities will be closed. This includes:

  • City Hall
  • Access St. John’s front counter
  • Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility
  • All recreation facilities including H.G.R. Mews Community Centre and Wedgewood Park Recreation Centre
  • Animal Care and Adoption Centre

Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Monday, May 19.
 
The Access St. John’s Call Centre is available to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
 
Exceptions or rescheduling due to these closures are as follows:
 
City Council
The public City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at 4:30 p.m.
 
Garbage and Recycling Collection
There will not be garbage and recycling collection on Monday, May 19.

On Tuesday, May 20 there will be garbage collection in areas 1A/B and 2A/B, and recycling collection for areas 1B and 2B. Waste should be put to the curb between 6 and 8 a.m. on the day of collection and the regular collection time may vary due to collecting from two areas.

Visitor Information Centres
The Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19.
 
The Visitor Information Desk at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation, 10 Maple View Road, will be closed on Monday, May 19 as the Plantation is closed every Monday.
