Volunteer Litter Clean-up of East Coast Trail

On Saturday, June 8 the City of St. John’s and the East Coast Trail Association will conduct the 6th annual volunteer litter clean-up of the Sugarloaf Path that runs adjacent to the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility.

The annual clean-up occurs during Canadian Environment Week and this year is taking place on Saturday, June 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the Administration Building at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility at 340 East White Hills Road at 8:45 a.m. to review safety procedures and equipment before being bussed to the trail site.

Anyone who wants to volunteer for the clean-up must register by e-mailing spardy@stjohns.ca or calling (709) 576-4510. Although some clean-up and safety gear will be supplied you must pre-register to learn more details and requirements to attend.
