Youth Week Art Show

The City of St. John's celebrates National Youth Week from May 1 to 7 with several free-of-charge events.

Everyone is invited to the opening reception of more than 100 pieces of art produced by St. John’s youth from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 29 at the Wyatt (Great) Hall, City Hall. The reception is free to attend and live entertainment is provided by youth band Conway.

The Youth Art Exhibit, including the Sharing Our Cultures Legacy Rug, is on display at City Hall until Friday, May 10. The public is invited to view the exhibit during City Hall business hours.

Youth ages 12 to 18 are invited to the Paul Reynolds Community Centre, 35 Carrick Drive, for a free Carnival from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The youth carnival includes inflatables and games from Sky High Amusements, a magician, giant-sized games, prizes and much more!

Free swims for youth take place noon to 12:50 p.m. Sat. May 4 at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre, and 2 to 3:20 p.m. Sun. May 5 at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre.
