April 15, 2015 - Due to the St. George’s Day holiday on Monday, April 20, most City offices and facilities will be closed. This includes Access St. John’s front counter service, the Animal Care and Adoption Centre, and the Visitor and Business Information Centre.

March 31, 2015 - The City of St. John's On-Street Parking Ban for streets outside the designated downtown area will be lifted at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7. Our winter maintenance crew will be working at full capacity until Saturday, April 11.

March 30, 2015 - Beginning on April 1 and continuing until November 30, garbage put out at the curb for collection must be completely covered. Acceptable covers include metal or plastic containers with a lid, a net, or a blanket.
Garbage is not permitted at the curb before 6 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
This measure is in place to reduce the amount of litter on streets, parks and open spaces.
