Snow removal is currently taking place in downtown St. John’s and will continue overnight on Rennie's Mill Road, Monkstown Road, Queen’s Road and Campbell Avenue.

At this time the City is clearing and removing snow from roads only.

Beginning early morning and continuing into the daytime Friday, Jan. 24 plows and crews will remove snow on:

  • Campbell Avenue
  • Pleasant Street
  • Golf Avenue
  • Shaw Street
  • Leslie Street
  • Sudbury Street
  • Alexander Street
  • Patrick Street
  • Job Street
  • Newtown Road
  • Harvey Road

To effectively remove snow from these roads, parked cars must be moved. Owners of vehicles parked on these streets are urged to clean and remove their vehicles as soon as possible. These vehicles can temporarily park on the streets that have been cleared, or overnight in select parking garages.

Additional downtown residential streets will be added as snow removal operations progress. This will be communicated through a public advisory on the City website, and the City’s social media feeds.

The City appreciates the support and cooperation of vehicle owners in the downtown during this emergency.
