Recreation Report Aug. 12 at 7 a.m.

This is the City of St. John’s Summer Recreation Report updated on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013 at 7 a.m.

The Teakwood Park / Southlands Activity Centre will be held outside this morning at Teakwood Park.

There are spaces available in Day Camps and Activity Centres for children ages 6 to 11. Call 576-8499 for more information.

The Trailwalkers program meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. to walk a trail around the city. This week they are walking the Bowring Park - South Brook Trail. Meet at the west gate entrance to the park.

Youth half day and full day courses like photography, cooking, kayaking and canoeing are fun and teach great skills. Call (709) 576-8630 for more information.
