Call for Membership: Youth Advisory Committee

Applications are invited from qualified persons to serve on the Youth Advisory Committee. The Youth Advisory Committee provides information and advice to the Committee of the Whole on matters related to youth that intersect City policies, programs and services, as referred to it by committees of council, or as initiated by the Committee.
 
 The City Clerk’s Office is seeking applications from individuals representing the following areas:

Public Member Representatives

• Comprised of no more than six members (ranging from age 14-29) consisting of at least one member from each of the following age ranges: junior high, senior high, post-secondary governing bodies and or non-school members.

 
Organizational Representatives

• Comprised of no more than six members representing youth serving agencies. The preference is that organizational representatives be board members, executive directors or someone with decision making authority in the organization.

 
 Member roles, responsibilities, and length of term are set according to the Committee’s Terms of Reference. 
  
Application forms must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2020. Residents of St. John’s will be given preference.
