The City of St. John's Hosts Third Arts Forum - Arts & The City 3

Tue, 2013/05/21 - 4:00pm

The City of St. John's is hosting its third arts forum, Arts & The City 3, at City Hall on May 24 and 25 with a focus on cultivating connections. One of the key goals of the forum is to determine the City's role in facilitating connections between artists and arts organizations with the community. The event itself will help bring together artists, arts organizations, business, government and other members of the community to discuss how all stakeholders can work together for everyone's benefit.

The event will open with a reception on May 24, featuring keynote speaker Ken Cameron - playwright, former artistic director of Magnetic North Theatre Festival, and also the Citizen Raconteur for the City of Calgary's Cultural Transformation Project. On May 25 a full day of consultation and discussion will take place, featuring a panel discussion on the theme of ‘Cultivating Connections’ with moderator Ramona Dearing from CBC’s Radio Noon and panelists Pam Hall, Jill Kean, Catherine Dempsey and Ken Cameron.

You can register by calling (709) 576-8394, via E-mail: arts@stjohns.ca  or by completing and submitting the registration form electronically which is available here.
