Nominations for Membership
City of St. John’s Advisory Committees
 
The City of St. John’s is inviting nominations from interested residents for membership to the following three committees: 

Para Transit Advisory Committee
This Committee oversees the operation of the para transit system (Go Bus) and strives to maintain a satisfactory level of service for customers of Go Bus within the Cities of St. John’s and Mount Pearl.
 
Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities
This Committee strives to make the City of St. John’s more accessible to all citizens by the removal of barriers, which impede the full participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of community life.
 
Heritage Advisory Committee
This Committee advises Council on heritage issues or issues under the Historic Resources Act of Newfoundland and Labrador, which may be referred to it by Council, as well as the heritage designation of areas and buildings.
 

 These Committees report directly to Council with their recommendations and advice on the development of various policies as their terms of reference dictate. Members serve on a volunteer basis and are appointed for a two year term (2013 – 2015) which term may be renewed.
