Cancelled - Public Hearing - 42 Sugarloaf Place

No submissions were received by the deadline date. Therefore, in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act, the public hearing was cancelled.

The St. John's Municipal Council adopted St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 139, 2016, and St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 639, 2016, at its regular meeting held September 6, 2016 and hereby gives notice of its intent to seek registration of the amendments from the Minister of Municipal Affairs in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act.
 
The effect of the St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 139, 2016, would be to re-designate land located at 42 Sugarloaf Place from the Rural Land Use District to the Commercial General Land Use District.
 
The effect of the St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 639, 2016, would be to rezone land located at 42 Sugarloaf Place from the Rural (R) Zone to the Commercial Office (CO) Zone.
 
The amendments are in reference to an application submitted by J-3 Holdings Limited to allow for two (2) four-storey office buildings.
