Text Amendment Forestry Zone RC Flyers

The City of St. John’s is considering approving a text amendment to the St. John’s Development Regulations which will have the effect of introducing “Recreational Use” as a Discretionary Use in the Forestry (F) Zone. This is pursuant to an application by the St. John’s R/C Flyers Inc. to obtain approval and a license to occupy Crown Land at Pasture Land Road, off the Trans Canada Highway, for the flying of radio controlled airplanes.

Any persons wishing to make representation on this matter to the St. John’s Municipal Council are asked to refer their comments in writing to the City Clerk’s (P.O. Box 908, St. John’s NL   A1C 5M2;  E-mail: cityclerk@stjohns.ca or fax:  576 8474)  by Noon, Thursday, March 14, 2013.  Any written representations received by that time will be included in the Agenda for the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday,  March 19, 2013, at which time Council is scheduled to make a decision on this proposed rezoning.  As information, written submissions received will become a matter of public record.
