An integrated mobility network will get people of all ages and abilities moving more freely around rugged, wet, windy St. John's, shifting us away from the passive transportation culture that is making us sick and, by 2024, increasing the share of sustainable and active transportation commuter trips by 40%.

The City of St. John’s and Happy City St. John’s have collaborated to enter the Canadian Smart Cities Challenge, an initiative of the federal government to encourage communities to seek smart, transformative solutions to big problems. The application for St. John’s focuses on becoming a city of residents who, with the application of technologies, can better embrace and celebrate an active and healthy lifestyle.

This application was submitted to Infrastructure Canada on April 24, 2018. If successful, the project may result in a $10 million grant from the federal government.
