Festival of Music and Lights

Thursday, November 17, 2022 - 7:00 AM

Ring in the holiday season as we officially light the park with our 21st annual music and lights celebration at Bowring Park Duck Pond on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. Feature performers include Ian Foster and Nancy Hynes, Boogie Babes, Allison Walsh and Jake Greening.
Bring a non-perishable food item for the Community Food Sharing Association, and a re-usable mug for free hot chocolate that will be distributed by the St. John’s Lions Club.
You’re welcome to bring a flashlight or personal light to join in the festivities.
This event includes a wheelchair accessible viewing area. Accessible parking is in the parking lot near the Duck Pond. Additional spaces are near the Bowring Park Lodge on Waterford Bridge Road.
The City of St. John's strives to create accessible and inclusive programs and services where possible. To request accommodations, or to reserve an all-terrain wheelchair to use during the event call 709-576-6972 or email inclusion@stjohns.ca before November 25. Further information and accessibility features are outlined in the event description.
To enhance your experience when visiting Bowring Park this season, a holiday playlist of festive songs from local musicians will be available for you to enjoy while viewing the lights in the park. Signage in the park will provide instructions for accessing the playlist using a QR code, a URL address through a web browser or an FM radio station.
The 2022 Festival of Music and Lights is presented in partnership with NTV and OZFM. For more information, check out the event description on our website.
