Wood Chips Available to Public

The City of St. John’s has recently completed chipping tree debris collected after Tropical Storm Leslie. Wood chips are now available at no charge at Bowring Park and Quidi Vidi Park. This material is very beneficial to residents for home gardening purposes and to the City for use in public parks.

The City of St. John’s will also be chipping Christmas trees that have been dropped off, undecorated and unbundled at our collection sites. These chips will also be available to the public.
 
Christmas Tree Drop-Off Locations:

• Quidi Vidi Lake Parking Lot (off The Boulevard east of the Legion Road intersection). Please note that St. Pat’s Ball Park is no longer used.
• Bowring Park West Parking Lot (off Waterford Bridge Road west of the Cowan Avenue intersection).
