February 28, 2022 - The City of St. John’s congratulates the 2021 Athletes of the Year.   Abby Newhook Female Athlete of the Year - Marg Davis Memorial Award   Abby Newhook played with Boston College's Female Hockey team in the NCAA Division 1.  As a rookie, Abby scored eight goals and six assists in 15 games. February 28, 2022 - Effective March 1, 2022, crews will be returning several intersections throughout the city from automatically providing a pedestrian signal to push-button activation of the pedestrian signal. February 11, 2022 - The capacity at The Loop in Bannerman Park is increased to a maximum of 80 people per skating session, based on current public health guidelines. Skating sessions are 50 minutes each, starting at the top of the hour, with 10 minutes allotted for skater changeover.
