Winter/Spring Recreation Program Registration Begins Dec. 7

Winter/Spring Recreation Program Registration for residents begins on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 a.m. Registration can be completed in person at St. John's City Hall, by using REC connect online at www.stjohns.ca or by phone at (709) 576-8499. Online registration requires the use of a major credit card.

After 10 a.m. on Dec. 7, in person registration moves to the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre, 40 Mundy Pond Road, and the Wedgewood Park Recreation Centre, 47 Gleneyre Street.

The City of St. John’s Winter/Spring Active Living Guide has been delivered to residents via the Go Bag and is available at most City facilities and online at www.stjohns.ca. The Active Living Guide lists a variety of programs offered for children, youth, adults and seniors.

A REC connect account is required to register for all recreation programs. Individuals with an account are encouraged to call (709) 576-8499 to ensure their account information is correct.

To create a new account, individuals must visit the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre or the Wedgewood Park Recreation Centre with a piece of photo identification showing their permanent address. A utility bill stating name and full mailing address will also be accepted and must accompany one piece of photo identification.

Non-resident registration begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 with in-person registration occurring at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre and the Wedgewood Park Recreation Centre, by using REC connect online at www.stjohns.ca or by phone at (709) 576-8499.
