Introduction to Knitting Workshop: Friday 20 November from 7 pm at Centre Des Grands-Vents 
 
The nights are long, it’s cold outside...it’s the ideal time to learn how to knit something soft and warm
Activity for 19+. Cash bar open. Bring a nut-free snack.

 

During this workshop, you will learn:
  • About the basic tools for knitting;
  • How to choose needles and yarn;
  • How to cast on;
  • How to make basic stitches;
  • How to follow a pattern;
  • How to start an easy pattern.
  • This workshop will take place in a cozy, friendly, and safe atmosphere. All materials are provided.

    Two payment options are available:

Registration
Option 1 - $5 Includes the workshop + use of our needles and yarn (which must be left here at the end of workshop)
Option 2 - $15- Workshop + leave with your needles and 1 ball of 50 g cotton yarn (colour of your choice)
Seating will be assigned according to bubbles. If you register with another member of your bubble, please let us know when registering and you will be assigned seats in the same capsule.
 
Schedule of activity: 
  • 7pm- Presentation of basic tools
  • 7:15pm - Casting on
  • 7:30pm- Knitting
  • 7:45pm- Following a pattern
  • 8pm- Practicing techniques + help from volunteers + cash bar ope
