St. Patrick's Day City Schedule

Residents are advised that due to the St. Patrick’s Day holiday on Monday, March 18 all City offices will be closed. The regularly scheduled Monday night City Council meeting will now take place on Tuesday, March 19.

Recreation Facilities
On Monday, March 18, the Shea Heights Community Centre and Kilbride Lion’s Community Centre will both remain open for the day. All remaining City of St. John’s Recreation Facilities are closed for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

Parking
The City of St. John's will enforce the Parking Meter Regulations on Monday, March 18, as the St. Patrick's Day holiday is not an observed holiday under the Provincial Shop Closing Act.

Garbage and Recycling Collection
Garbage and recycling collection is unaffected by the St. Patrick's Day holiday on Monday, March 18. Residents are reminded there will be regular garbage (areas 1A and 1B) and recycling (1A) collection during this time. Residents are also reminded that garbage and recyclables are not permitted to be put out for collection before 6 a.m. and must be put out by 8 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility
The landfill at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial users during regular hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18.

The Residential Drop-Off at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is regularly closed on Mondays and is open to serve residents of the eastern region of the province every week from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitor and Business Information Centres
The City’s Visitor and Business Information Centres at 348 Water Street are closed for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday on Monday, March 18.
