Good Friday City Schedule

Residents are advised that due to the Good Friday holiday on Friday, March 29 all City offices will be closed.
 
Recreation Facilities
On Friday, March 29, all City of St. John’s Recreation Facilities are closed for the Good Friday holiday.
  
Parking
The City of St. John's will not enforce the Parking Meter Regulations on Friday, March 29, as the Good Friday holiday is an observed holiday under the Provincial Shop Closing Act.
 
Garbage and Recycling Collection
There will be no collection on Friday, March 29. Garbage collection for areas 5A and 5B, and recycling collection in area 5B, will take place on Monday, April 1 along with the regularly scheduled garbage collection for areas 1A and 1B, and recycling for area 1A. Residents may experience a delay in their normal collection time.

Residents are reminded that garbage and recyclables are not permitted to be put out for collection before 6 a.m. and must be put out by 8 a.m. on your scheduled collection day. Beginning April 1 all garbage put to the curb must be completely covered with a bin, net or blanket.

Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility
 
The landfill at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is closed for commercial users on Friday, March 29 as a result of the Good Friday holiday. The landfill will reopen for commercial haulers on Saturday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Residential Drop-Off at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will close on Friday, March 29 for the Good Friday Holiday, but it will be open to serve residents of the eastern region of the province on Saturday, March 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitor and Business Information Centres
The City’s Visitor and Business Information Centres at 348 Water Street are closed for the Good Friday holiday on Friday, March 29.
