Nominations for Membership to Heritage Advisory Committee

The City of St. John’s is seeking nominations from City residents to serve as volunteer members of the Heritage Advisory Committee. Two citizen representatives are required and the term of membership is four years from May 2014 to May 2018. 
 
The Heritage Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to Council on heritage issues that affect the city. The committee is primarily involved in built heritage but may offer advice on intangible cultural heritage, industrial heritage and other aspects of heritage and its place in the fabric of our community. The comittee provides a key communication and working link between Council and the community. Membership is comprised of citizen and organizational representation as well as members of Council and City support staff. It meets monthly during lunchtime.
