September 20, 2017 - On Sunday, Sept. 24 two cruise ships are scheduled to make St. John’s a port of call. A total of 3,400 passengers and 1,300 crew will visit the city over a 10-hour period, increasing pedestrian and vehicle traffic in and around the downtown and Signal Hill area. September 20, 2017 - Incorrect information was provided to the public regarding vote by proxy for registered voters who are out of the City and/or province during the election period. To date the City has mistakenly distributed four voting kits by proxy. Three of the four votes have been inducted in to the voting system and will be counted.
