Sable Chief Dog Park Official Opening

The public are invited to join Deputy Mayor Sheilagh O'Leary, members of City Council and staff from Humane Services as we celebrate the official opening of the Sable Chief Dog Park in Airport Heights, at McNiven Place.
Special guest and Airport Heights resident Lucas Flynn and his family will also be in attendance to mark the special occasion. Lucas entered and won the Elementary School's naming contest for the dog park with the name 'Sable Chief'.
Sable Chief was a pure-bred Newfoundland dog that served as the mascot of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment training reserve, 2nd Battalion during World War I.
