City of St. John's Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water StreetThe City of St. John's is committed to economic development and actively promotes the city as an optimum place to live, visit and do business. The City works with partners in local industry, government and the education sector to develop strategies that support  economic development. In 2011 the City launched Roadmap 2021, a 10-year strategic economic plan for St. John's.  

The City of St. John's operates a year-round Business Information Centre and a seasonal Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water Street in the downtown (building photo at right). The City also partners in the operation of a Visitor Information Centre at St. John's International Airport.
