Neighbourhood Speed Watch Program

The Neighbourhood Speed Watch Program is an educational initiative that provides awareness to both motorists and residents of vehicle operating speeds. It is hoped that raising awareness will reduce travel speeds within neighbourhoods.

The program consists of a portable message board and radar speed gun which are temporarily installed on the side of the road. The board electronically displays the speed of approaching vehicles compared to the posted speed limit.

If you would like to have more information on the Neighbourhood Speed Watch Program or would like to submit a request to have the trailer placed on your street please call Access St. John's at 311 or (709) 754-CITY (2489).
