The 24-hour parking ban outside of the  Downtown and Business District area, imposed during the State of Emergency, will remain in affect for the remainder of the winter season.

Given the volume of snow in the City this year, it is challenging for crews to clear streets following weather if vehicles are parked on the side of streets. When cars are parked on the side of the road, crews are unable to push back the snow effectively and portions of the street are missed. This narrows the roadway and impedes two-way traffic.

Vehicles parked on streets in contravention of the 24-hour Parking Ban may be towed or ticketed.

If weather conditions improve, the City will re-evaluate the need for the 24-hour Parking Ban and communicate any changes via Public Service Announcement and the City’s website and social media accounts.
