The City of St. John’s Annual Streets Rehabilitation Program is now underway and will continue to late fall 2022. Roads and sidewalks throughout the city will be impacted. Work will include repairs to concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter and street paving to make our roads smoother and safer for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.

Motorists and pedestrians may experience delays and detours in the impacted areas. The City reminds motorists to watch for construction workers on the road during this time. Please obey all signage posted in each construction zone.

Throughout the coming months, traffic advisories will be posted each week to list streets that are scheduled for the following week. To keep informed of where work is happening, residents can learn more:

  • Sign up for e-updates, choose ‘Traffic Advisories’
  • Visit the City’s website, under Public Advisories, search ‘Traffic’
  • Contact Access St. John’s, available 24/7 by calling 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489) or online.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience that these construction projects may cause and thank you for your patience as we complete this work.
