April Holidays City Schedule

Due to the Good Friday holiday on Friday, April 18 and the St. George’s Day holiday on Monday, April 21 all City offices will be closed. This includes the Access St. John’s front counter, the Animal Care and Adoption Centre and the Visitor and Business Information Centre. The City Council meeting, regularly scheduled weekly for Mondays, will take place on Tuesday, April 22 at 4:30 p.m.
 
The Access St. John’s Call Centre is available to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
 
Exceptions to these closures are as follows:
 
Parking
Parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Friday, April 18 due to the Good Friday holiday.
Parking meter regulations will be enforced on Monday, April 21 as St. George’s Day is not an observed holiday under the Provincial Shop Closing Act.

Garbage and Recycling Collection
There will not be garbage and recycling collection on Friday, April 18 due to the Good Friday holiday.
On Monday, April 21 there will be garbage collection in areas 1A/B and 5A/B, and recycling collection for areas 1B and 5A.

Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility
The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed on Friday, April 18.
On Monday, April 21 the landfill at Robin Hood Bay is open for commercial users during regular hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, the Residential Drop-Off is closed as it is regularly closed on Mondays.
 
Recreation
All City recreation facilities will be closed on Friday, April 18 due to the Good Friday holiday.
On Monday, April 21 all City recreation facilities will be open during regular hours.
